When it comes to parking at Forecastle, there are so many options but also a lot of people. Here are some suggestions.
If you’re an out-of-towner and staying anywhere in the downtown area, just walk. We have short blocks here and there aren’t that many.
Locals with a decent job can always splurge on Lyft, Uber or a taxi service, although the first two might institute event pricing for absolutely no reason. Traffic patterns are not significantly impacted by Forecastle so getting in and out isn’t that tricky but Uber doesn’t care. It’ll charge whatever it wants.

Ride your bike. As always, Forecastle offers a free bike valet service.
There’s free street parking after 6 p.m. and on Sunday but that won’t help if you’re favorite band plays at 4 on Friday.
Many downtown businesses will be renting out their parking lots for the weekend, often for good prices. Just look for people standing in the middle of the street with a cardboard sign.

Parking garages are everywhere in downtown Louisville and costs will probably be $15-20, depending on how close they are to the festival. A little advice: park further away…
